SEPTEMBER 20, 2014

Dear friends!

I am thrilled to announce our Fall programs and along with them I would like to offer you the opportunity to participate by donating to the vast array of Arts programs created by our talented GOH family. Look ahead with me at what we have in store at GOH Productions.  Buy tickets, take a class, or come by and visit us at our studios for a personal tour.  We want to hear from all of you.

Here is a sampling of our Fall Programs: September 8 – East Village Dance Project, Artistic Director, Martha Tornay, launches our Fall semester with classes for age 4 to 19, in contemporary dance, ballet and creative technique.  All classes take place at our lovely Avenue C Studio, in NYC’s bustling Lower East Side. The Fall will also include our new annual multi-generation East Village adaptation of the Nutcracker (called THE SHELL-SHOCKED NUT), a co-production with La MaMa Theatre.   Learn more about these programs here.

October 9-12 – Art in Odd Places, Artistic Director Ed Woodham, will present our 10th annual free visual and performing arts festival along 14th Street from Con Edison at Avenue D to the Hudson River.  The festival challenges a curated group of artists to create new work that addresses an annual theme and encourages artistic dialog with the communities of 14th Street. This year’s festival theme is ‘FREE’, and guest curator is Juliana Driever, an independent curator and writer and Art History adjunct lecturer at CUNY.  Learn more about the program here.

October 20-26 – Absolute Ensemble, Artistic Director Kristjan Jarvi, is managed by GOH.  This year the ensemble of 14 virtuoso musicians will tour to several cities in South Korea with concerts of the newest program, with special soloists.  Learn more about Absolute here.

December 4-14 – Czechoslovak-American Marionette Theatre will perform “A Christmas Carol, Oy Hanukkah, Merry Kwanzaa”, presented by La MaMa Theatre. The company will also perform several shows in libraries and art centers in the 5 boroughs of New York City, as well as exhibition and tour to the Midwest.  Learn more about the program here.

This is just the fall offerings, and we will continue into the Winter and Spring with much much more.  Please take the time to support us now.  Our Fall campaign hopes to raise at least $30,000 to towards the realization of these programs. We need to hear from you today.  No amount is too small.

By the time this letter has reached you, we have already had funding commitments from the Department of Cultural Affairs of the City of New York, New York State Council on the Arts, several foundations and a few individuals.  But we have not yet reached our goal, so this is where you can help!

Please donate here (the link will take you to Seven Loaves, Inc. and you can earmark where you want your donation to go.) Thank you in advance.  Without you, it just would not be the same!

Happy August!

Bonnie Sue Stein, Executive and Artistic Director, GOH Productions
